Introduction

My name is Deanne Davis and I've always been passionate about sewing.   When I began working, my first purchase was a Singer sewing machine.   Over the years I used that machine to make my wedding gown, curtains for the house, and clothes for myself and my two daughters, including one daughter's wedding gown and all of the bridesmaids' outfits.

My first quilt was a 'log cabin' from Eleanor Burns' "Quilt in a Day" book.  After that I was hooked on quilting. I bought an antique quilting frame (with handmade wood gears) for $20 and used it to hand quilt several quilts.   Other quilts I have made were quilted at a local studio where I rented time on a Gammill Statler Stitcher Longarm machine.

Picture
Through the years my dream was to retire and have a quilting business.   So, in 2014, I invested in a Gammill Statler Stitcher Longarm machine and formed the Creative Quilting Company, LLC.    Now I welcome the opportunity to share a mutual interest and provide quilting services to you.

I assure you that I will handle your quilt as if it were my own.  I know how much time and effort it takes to create a quilt top and I want to work with you to turn your quilt tops into beautiful quilts that will become useful family treasures.    I owe any success in this venture to my faith, my husband, Don, and to my daughters, Anne Kisak and Marie Ireland, for their support and encouragement.

The Creative Quilting Company studio, which is located in our home,  is a smoke free and pet free setting. We Welcome Quilters and Friends to visit to see how your projects are transformed into beautiful and useful quilts that will be treasured.   Please call or email to schedule a visit to the studio located at 16897 White Daisy Loop, Walnut Cove Section of Magnolia Green, in Moseley, VA  23120.

The Photos page is "under Re-construction" while I Organize the Quilts into Categories,
e.g., Custom, Memory, T-Shirts, Rescued, etc. and add more recent photos.  Thank you for your Patience!
